WORKING THREAD PLUG: A gage that is used to check an internal thread, for the correct size and pitch diameter limits. Made to 2B, and 3B limits in fractional sizes and to 4H, and 6H in metric sizes. These gages are available standard in either a taperlock, trilock, or reversible styles, and can be made to special pitch diameter limits. A set consists of one go and one no go thread plug with a handle. The standard go gages are usually longer than the no go gage. [BACK]
WORKING THREAD RINGS: A gage that is used to check an external thread, for the correct size and pitch diameter limits. Made to 1A, 2A, and 3A limits in fractional sizes and to 4G, 5G, and 6G in metric sizes. The no go ring gage can be easily identified by a groove around the outside diameter.[BACK]
SETTING THREAD PLUG GAGE: This is used only to check the limits of the ring gages during manufacturing and recalibration process. Available in a taperlock, and trilock styles and designated in the same way as a ring gage 1A, 2A, and 3A in fractional and 4G, 5G, and 6G in metric styles.[BACK]
METRIC GAGES: NYTD offers our complete gage line in Metric sizes and styles and stocks many of the popular sizes. We are also able to manufacture any Metric styles as complete specials.[BACK]
PLAIN CYLINDRICAL PLUG GAGES: These are used to check the internal threaded or plain-drilled hole size. Cylindrical gages come in several tolerances those being, CLASS Z used when limits are liberal, CLASS Y used when limits are normal to liberal, CLASS X used when limits are relatively close occasionally for master gages, and CLASS XX used when limits are extremely close or for master gages.[BACK]
REVERSIBLE GAGES: The Reversible Gage consists of a GO and No Go member(s). Both members afford the Gage user double the life by simply reversing the member(s) and turning the worn portion into the handle. They are available in threaded Fractional, and Metric styles, and are also available in plain Cylindrical Gage styles.[BACK]
STI GAGES: Used to check tolerances where a Screw Thread Insert will be used in the hole, mainly used in the Automotive Industry.[BACK]
NPTF (DRYSEAL) & ANPT (AERONAUTICAL): GAGES: NPTF & ANPT gages are manufactured to specifications of the Bureau of Standards Handbook H-28 and ANSI Standards B1.20.3 and comply to MIL-P-7105 Military Standards. L-1 and L-3 thread plugs are supplied with 1-Step as standard. Theses are available as a 6-Step plain plug, 6-Step rings, threaded plugs, and ring gages.Other Pipe Gages available include NPSF (DRYSEAL), NPSM (MECHANICAL), NPSI (DRYSEAL INTERMEDIATE), NPSC (COUPLINGS), NPSL (LOOSE FITTING MECH. NPT GAGES: NPT pipe gages are manufactured to specifications of the Bureau of Standard Handbook H-28 and ANSI B1.20.1. They are available in ring gages for external threads and plugs for internal threads, all NPT-L1 thread plugs are supplied with 1-Step as standard but can be made special at your request.[BACK]
